Try this easy single serving sized breakfast recipe with no added sugar! I’ve been making this classic recipe for years and recommend it. And don’t skimp on adding the spices.
Ingredients:
· 1 large egg
· 1/4 cup whole milk
· 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon https://amzn.to/41hA3Sx
· 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg https://amzn.to/412n6dJ
· Dash allspice https://amzn.to/413jics
· 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract https://amzn.to/4hKvnu7
· 2 slices honey wheat bread
· 1 – 2 Tablespoons butter OR virgin coconut oil https://amzn.to/3QmGnSg
· Pure Maple syrup https://amzn.to/42XCPgV
Directions:
In a large bowl, add the egg and milk. Mix well with a fork or a frother! It’s fun and effective and cleans easily.
Add in the spices and vanilla. Mix well.
Preheat your pan and add the butter and/or virgin coconut oil.
Dip the bread into the bowl and coat both sides with the egg mixture.
Fry for about 2 minutes on each side. You can also slice your bread in half to make it easier to fry.
Serve on a plate and pour on as much maple syrup as you want!
About My Frother:
I bought the Milk Boss Frother to mix my chocolate milk. However, I’ve learned it’s perfect to use for scrambling eggs and for quickly mixing my French toast batter. I chose the Ocean Aqua and you’ll see it comes in a wide range of colors, plus you also receive 16 stencils.
